Screenwriters Unite!

Frances Marion was

Hollywood ’s highest paid screenwriter--male or female--for almost three decades.  She was the first woman to twice win and Academy Award for screenwriting!  From 1916-1946, Frances Marion wrote over 200 scripts covering every conceivable genre, she was head of the west coast production for William Randolph Hearst’s Cosmopolitan Studios, and in 1928, Sam Goldwyn raised her salary to an unparalleled $3,000 a week!

Where are the Frances Marion’s of today?  Come out and meet with other women writers and help support each other!!  We need women writers more today than ever!

We'll have some wine, some snacks and some sharp pencils ready for you!

Michael Behrens of the SF Film Society's Education Program will have information on the new Fall Screenwriting Classes.

Please alert your writing friends-- they'll want to know about this fun event!
